Let It Go

Sometimes that thing you’re holding onto in your life can be your worst enemy.
I used to have my own little business empire. In fact, I’d been in business for many years, and I guess I’d become a bit of a control freak.
It was only when my businesses collapsed in the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-8, and I lost everything, that I was ready for God to lead me into a new, and more exciting phase in my life.
You know, sometimes you just have to let go in order to take hold of your next adventure.
That’s what God did with Moses when he called him to lead the children of Israel. Moses depended on his shepherd’s staff for everything.
But in the story, God told him to throw it on the ground. And when he did, he saw that it had turned into a snake on the ground.
Yep. Sometimes that thing you’re holding onto in your life can be your worst enemy. Remember: Don’t be afraid to let go.
