Acknowledge God Today

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness (Rom. 1:18).
People reject God’s existence because they don’t want there to be a God to whom they are accountable; they want to rule their own lives. A God who will one day line them up for questioning is not the kind of God they want in their lives, so they deny His existence.
Denying God’s existence, however, is like denying the existence of global warming. If we don’t respect global warming and do all we can to lessen its damaging effects, it will eventually bring us to our knees. It will not be the climate that will be the cause of our grief, but our disrespect for the climate.
Boiling water is good, but it’s not good to plunge your bare hand into it. God is good, but if you step outside his plan for your life there will be unpleasant consequences no matter how strenuously you deny his existence.
So how can we know what God’s plan is for us? There is no better place to start than the read the Bible. Focus on the first four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
