“‘Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him’” (Luke 8:25).

Jesus led his disciples, step by step, into a knowledge of himself and his mission. First it was through a miracle of producing wine from water, then through a miraculous catch of fish, then through miracles of healing, of feeding a multitude with a small boy’s lunch, and now through his control over nature. What next? Would even the dead respond to his command to rise from their graves? It was plain that Jesus was no mere man.
