“Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart” (Luke 2:19, 51).

Mary’s faith that her Son was the promised Messiah was a growing faith. Over the years there were occasions when that belief was tested – and never more so than when her Son was executed on a cross – but she clung to the ‘treasured’ revelations that had been given her.

Like Mary, we, too, must cling to new understandings of the truth that the Holy Spirit shares with us – treasured revelations – even when they are contrary to our currently held beliefs, for it is only God’s truth that will minister to our needs in times of crisis.
