“Jesus said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Father… lead us not into temptation’” (Luke 11:4).

This prayer is far more important than most Christians think. What you are asking God to do here is to make you blind or resistant to temptation.

Sin is the very antithesis of God, so it’s not possible for both to reign together in your life. Either sin will reign over you or God will; it’s your choice. If your heart is for God pray every day, “Father, lead me not into temptation.”
