Daily Good News – 20 January

“News about him spread…so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” (Luke 5:15-16).

There must be a balance between input and output. If the pipe out of the tank is bigger than the pipe into the tank then it won’t be long before you’re running on empty, and the result will be either burnout or a ministry that’s hollow.

It is essential to spend time with God every day, reading his word and praying about it. As you read let the Spirit speak to your heart, and when he does, obey what he says to you. In this way you will be fitted to minister to the “crowds”.
