“The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honoured among men” (Psalm 12:8).
Possibly at no previous period in history, have men and women been able to perpetrate, celebrate and wallow in the most debased and decadent propensities of human existence. The explosion of digital media, now facilitating the reach of explicit images of violence, criminal activity, child abuse and every form of sexual perversion, has enable an unprecedented exploration of the darkest impulses. We have a responsibility in refusing to participate—even passively—in the wholesale honouring of things which are vile. Evil should not go unchallenged—especially by Christians.
