Dogs In Heaven

Dogs in Heaven

Mark Twain once made a joke, saying “Heaven goes by favour. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would get in.”

I think Twain nailed it!

When I look at my scruffy little dog, Theo, I can see how true it is. If eternal life was given out by merit, my little doggie would definitely make it through the pearly gates… and I would be kept out.

Ephesians 2 says, For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

There’s only one way to find forgiveness – by the grace of God that has come to you through Jesus Christ.

Give thanks that God doesn’t let people into Heaven based on what they’ve done, but instead based on what his son has already done on the cross.

Dogs in Heaven

If eternal life was given out by merit, people would not join dogs in heaven.
