Really that .. so how can you explain such method was it for himself or to abide by the tradition. I which to understand
Hi Becky – The interesting thing is that baptism never was part of the Jewish law, although the Jews in Jesus' time obviously practiced baptism. And Jesus commanded that all believers in him were to be baptised, as Southern Baptists quite rightly do. So baptism isn't part of the "old law" or Jewish covenant.
I thought it was because he was still under Jewish law,the old law covenant. He started the new law covenant at his death at least that is the way I believe as one of southern baptist.

Hello Socrates - I sense deep theological issues behind your comment. However, what I will say for now is that the fall of humanity, our sinfulness, and our need of a Saviour are all fundamental to the Gospel. Without believing these, you cannot have a Gospel, let alone believe it.... at least not the Gospel of the Bible. Grace and Peace - Eliezer
