However, what I will say for now is that the fall of humanity, our sinfulness, and our need of a Saviour are all fundamental to the Gospel. Hi Becky – The interesting thing is that baptism never was part of the Jewish law, although the Jews in Jesus' time obviously practiced baptism. And Jesus commanded that all believers in him were to be baptised, as Southern Baptists quite rightly do. So baptism isn't part of the "old law" or Jewish covenant.

I thought it was because he was still under Jewish law,the old law covenant. He started the new law covenant at his death at least that is the way I believe as one of southern baptist.
