The Mountain of Grace

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 6:23).
Wages are what we earn. They are the reward for our labour. The wages of sin are what we receive for the bad things we do. Sin ultimately results in death. Every sin not covered by the blood of Jesus will result in our eternal death. No sinner will get into God’s kingdom simply because they have only committed a little sin. There is no place in heaven for even little sins.
God’s gift of eternal life is not a reward; it can’t be earned. It is freely given to all who repent and accept Jesus as their Saviour. No matter how great or how many your sins, the grace of God is far greater. Had Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin truly repented and put their faith in Jesus, the blood of Jesus would have washed them clean.
The mountain of sin is very great, but God’s grace is much greater. And it’s free for the asking.
