What Makes Us Strong?

Some people believe that bad things will happen to a person if they walk under a ladder. There are many superstitions or urban myths which have no bearing whatsoever on what happens to us. In terms of our well-being, our success or failure in life, our prospects for the future , and what will happen to us after we die–they have no influence whatsoever. What is the central issue in life and death? What are the true engines of the soul? What make us strong?
