Who Do You Choose To Follow? – by Eliezer Gonzalez

Some years ago I was in the car with a friend. His wife and my wife were following us in the car behind. I was driving and I was relying on the navigation system on my phone to get us there. It wasn’t a hard place to find.
And then it happened. My nagivation system got confused. My friend, who likes to rely more on his own natural navigational skills disagreed with my navigation system and urged me to go a different way.
For a while I followed his direction. Then for a while I followed the directions of my navigation system. Then I followed his directions, and so on. We ended up quite lost, my friend and I were agitated, our wives in the car behind us were laughing hysterically at our inability to find the right way. To this very day, our wives remind us of it.
It is often the same with Christianity. There are so many voices and so many systems that tell you that they are the right way. But you have to learn to ignore all of the other voices and to listen to just one – Jesus Christ Himself.
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me – John 14:6.
Too many people claim to be following Jesus, while all the time following earthly methods, traditions, and organisations.
Ask yourself, “Who am I really following?”
