Your Biography Before You Were Born – by Eliezer Gonzalez

It really is amazing but true; God wrote your biography before you were born! Psalm 139 says that every day and every moment of your life was recorded in God’s book before you were even born:”

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!

Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,

as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

You saw me before I was born.

Every day of my life was recorded in your book.

Every moment was laid out

before a single day had passed.

– Psalm 139:14-16, (NLT)

Your biography before you were born

God is like a mother, in love with her child before he or she ever comes into the world. She dreams of what her baby will be like – what she will look like, what she will do, the first word that she will speak. God dreamed you into existence through the sheer force of his love.

And if God has written your story before you were born, what kind of a story do you think it is? I am not talking perhaps about the story that you have been in until now; I am talking about the story that God planned for you.

Oh? But it would be a marvellous story – a story of love and joy, of peace and freedom – it would be a story of triumph. It would be an endless, eternal story, or greater and greater adventures awaiting discovery. It would be a story of belonging, acceptance, and knowing that you are safe in his love.

Perhaps there might be some difficult patches before eternity proper started, but he would be with you all the way, and you would get through them. But what a story it would be!

Have you accepted God’s biography for your life? You accepted it by believing that it can be true because of what his Son Jesus Christ has done – because he gave his life to make sure that you could live the endless story!

To all those who want to join God’s story for your life, Paul wrote,

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. – Ephesians 2:10, NLT.

God has left nothing to chance in your life. He will be with you in every detail, every moment, every day. How do I know? He’s already written out what our lives should be like, and will be like, if we have chosen to have him as our companion on our journey through life.

Anything else is too risk and too uncertain. Anything else is just second best.
