O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! Psalms 8: 3, 4
One of the great motivators to worship the Lord is a sense of wonder in the presence of God. Deep down in our souls there is a hunger for the awe, marvel and wonderment of something and someone far bigger than who we are.
There is an intricate connection between the belief that God is all-powerful, ever-present, always approachable and loving and one who can completely and utterly be trusted to act on your best behalf.
This conviction casts out fear and anxiety and anchors our daily lives in a very secure place.
Let our spirit soar into the size of His world, His majesty and greatness. Go deep into the Bible and find out how worthy of worship your God is.
If perhaps today you are praying with lack-lustre faith; if you find your days emptied of joy, make it your mission to stretch your mind by resizing your God. We may then obtain a better understanding of who God is and what He can do.
